General Fund

Our General fund covers the day to day operations for a non-profit. This includes meeting with civic groups, educational institutions, teachers, literary organizations and reaching out to the community at large for the promotion and propagation of the Urdu language.

Library

Our Library fund represents an ongoing effort to make available rich Urdu literature for the enjoyment of our students and community. This fund seeks to add new books, journals and teaching materials to our collection. At present, we have about 1,000 books of poetry, short stories, novels and children learning materials. We hope to grow with your support.

Urdu Teaching Projects

Our objective through our teaching projects are to teach heritage students that they can communicate with their elders in Urdu and appreciate the Urdu culture. In addition, the Academy is making an effort to introduce Urdu teaching in public schools.

The academy has been successfully running such programs in one of the Montgomery County public schools.

This year (2016),the program has expanded to 3 schools. In the future, the Academy would like to expand the program to other counties.

However, such efforts will require more resources, both human and financial.
